Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan construction of display mounts
- Locate and confirm collection material to be displayed and the relevant liaison personnel
- Interpret plans and other related documentation
- Estimate and confirm site requirements according to organisational procedures and guidelines associated with display components and assembly of mounts
- Confirm mounting and display requirements, components and timelines
- Assess potential risks and refer to relevant personnel
- Prepare for the display of cultural material
- Determine equipment and materials to be used
- Check and test mounting and display components for compatibility with cultural and conservation requirements of collection material
- Ensure that mounting and display components are capable of being disassembled and reassembled to meet relocation requirements
- Maintain records relating to the preparation process and provide to relevant personnel
- Construct or assemble mountings and display components
- Assemble existing structure or complete construction according to organisational procedures and within required timeframes
- Anticipate and address technical problems that arise during process within scope of own role or escalate if required
- Record information relating to the construction and assembly, and refer to relevant personnel
- Clean up work site and dispose of waste according to organisational procedures
- Seek feedback on own work and note areas for improvement
